Version 1.6.1

Keypad fix

  • Tapping an amount after typing a name or a note now closes the phone's keyboard, so only Snipit's keypad shows.
Version 1.6.0

Calculator keypad

  • Tap an amount in a row and Snipit's own keypad opens, with + − × ÷ (× and ÷ first, like a calculator). The answer shows under the field.
  • Duplicate several rows at once: Select, tick the rows, then Duplicate. Copies start unpaid.
  • A short "Is your Snipit up to date?" note on Home, about once a month. Tap it to open the Download page.
  • Whole numbers (like an odometer) show without commas, and long names wrap to a second line in the table.
Version 1.5.0

Archive paid rows

  • Put a tracker's paid rows away and keep using the tracker. Unpaid rows stay, and every number stays the same. Tap Show to see them, and bring them back any time.
  • A fully paid tracker now offers both: archive the paid rows, or archive the whole tracker.
  • Number fields take numbers only, with your phone's number keyboard and + / − keys for sums like 1500+250.
Version 1.4.0

Safer backups

  • Opening a backup is now checked piece by piece, so a damaged or booby-trapped .snipit file is refused safely instead of slowing down or crashing your phone.
  • Your own backups open exactly as before.
Version 1.3.0

Archive, monthly limits and home-screen widgets

  • Archive finished trackers: they leave your daily screens, every row stays, and you can restore them any time.
  • Set a monthly limit for a tracker, or for each category. See what's left on the tracker, Home, Trackers and Insights; amber when you're close.
  • Home-screen widgets: next payment, this month, or the next three payments. No amounts unless you turn them on; App lock hides them.
Version 1.2.1

Safer backups and restores

  • Every value in a backup file is checked before it's used, so a damaged backup can't crash Snipit.
  • If something ever goes wrong, a screen offers Try again and Undo restore.
  • Backup files have a size limit.
  • The automatic-backup password is kept in your phone's secure key store.
  • A smaller set of phone permissions.
Version 1.2.0

Snipit's cards, Share Snipit and a reminder check

  • New cards at the bottom of Home and Trackers: our sponsors, what's new, ways to help, this website, moving to a new phone, sponsoring Snipit.
  • Share Snipit with a friend from Home.
  • Settings → Check reminders: send a test notification and see what's set on your phone.
  • Reminders now tell you when notifications aren't allowed yet.
Version 1.1.0

Colours, breakdowns and a smaller download

  • Pick a colour: Snipit green, Blue or Pink. The logo and Snipit follow.
  • Break a board down by a list (like Paid with: Cash, Card, E-wallet) and use those totals in other cards.
  • Savings per account on Home, Trackers and Insights.
  • Folders: add boards up; duplicate and delete a board.
  • Automatic backup to a folder you pick, every 7 days.
  • Payment reminders on your phone.
  • Paid on dates: how you pay, paid out by month, last paid.
  • New templates: Savings by account; lists in Bills and Daily expenses.
  • What's new after each update, and a smaller download.
